Gavin Simms

Gavin Simms was born and raised in the blissful isolation of Hermitage, N.L. He’s a quiet and peculiar sort of bayman. After school he left the province for the University of New Brunswick, where he earned an English degree. He later sailed back, took a job as a reporter/photographer for Clarenville’s newspaper and had the time of his life telling stories. In the fall of 2009, scared of going soft in the centre, he decided it was best to get back to the city. He’s been making music with his band and selling words as a freelancer ever since. Gavin writes best with no windows.
