Nova Scotia man hopes to save the Lower Churchill

Bruno Marcocchio, of Nova Scotia, is attending the environmental assessment hearings for the Lower Churchill Project in Goose Bay, with hopes of saving the Lower Churchill River. Marcocchio says the power generated from the Lower Churchill is not necessary, noting the project will cost billions of dollars and cause power rates in the province to go up. He says this is another political dream by a politician that’s going to bankrupt taxpayers in Newfoundland and Labrador for the next 50 years, similar to Joey’s fantasy regarding the Upper Churchill.
