MAP: Summer Festivals 2011

in Arts & Culture/Featured/Maps/Multimedia by

With July around the corner and the hopes of better weather ahead, that means just one thing to many Newfoundlanders – festival season has begun. But with dozens and dozens of festivals from coast to coast for native Newfoundlanders and tourists alike to choose from, how can one even possibly keep track of what’s going on?

That’s why TheIndependent.ca has constructed the Summer Festivals 2011 Map. With information from the provincial Department of Tourism, we have constructed an interactive map which will allow you to scan the entire province for festivals and celebrations from the beginning of July to the end of September. If you see a flag – you see a festival. Click on the flag to get the details for each festival. Have we forgotten your favourite party? Name it on the message boards below.

The map will take a few moments to load. When all of the flags appear, search away!
