An event every day that begins at 6:00 pm, repeating until August 28, 2022
Starring Deantha Edmunds, written & directed by L’nu playwright Leahdawn Helena, STOLEN SISTERS explores the life and legacy of the Beothuk people, an Indigenous people who are culturally extinct due to Colonial violence.
This new one-woman play features the stories of three generations of Beothuk women and girls – each of whom exist and live on through historical record.
This performance will take place Tuesday-Sunday August 16-28 in the Heart Garden, a reconciliation space at Government House.
Audience members are asked to bring a lawn chair to sit on to enjoy the performance from the grass seating area.
Tickets 30$ for General Public, with a complimentary ticket option for self-identifying Indigenous peoples.
