A win for Dinn

John Dinn, one of the few PC candidates to face a nomination challenge ahead of the Fall provincial election, won easily in the Killbride district. A nomination race occurs when two or more individuals fight for the right to represent a political party in an election – the election before the election – but it is unusual for an incumbent MHA who has already won in 2 elections to have his nomination challenged. Nevertheless, Dinn won handily capturing 972 of the 1,059 votes cast. Maryann Flemming was the challenger, who took just 8% of the vote.
