Canada Post workers may strike, or be locked out, as early as next Tuesday, but the Minister of Human Resources says that the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador will be ready for any service disruption. He said the government will use its approximately 120 regional offices as satellite sites so that mail recipients can receive their cheques through a combination of pick-up and courier, depending on individual needs. More information on the government’s contingency plans will be released today.
