RCMP breaking into cars – for a good cause

RCMP in Gander participated in Operation Lockup, an initiative which has had officers checking vehicles throughout the town to see if they are locked, and leaving flyers in those that are not reminding their owners to do so. This is a reaction a string of thefts this year involving vehicles on residential streets. RCMP found that 49 of the 190 vehicles were left unlocked – approximately 30%.
