A cable network that had been dubbed “Fox News North” long before it was ever broadcast, finally becomes a reality this evening. The Sun News Network will hit the airwaves coast-to-coast at 6:00 p.m. NL time and 5:30 in Labrador. Says Luc Lavoie, a network spokesman: “The pace will be different from what people are used to seeing in Canada. It will be personality-driven, prime-time programming. It will be less politically correct and we will focus on what people are talking about around the water cooler or at the dinner table.” Only time will tell if this ‘different pace’ will also include substance.
