It’s a strange phenomenon. Each summer some of our beaches become overrun with caplin. Not dozens, not hundreds, not thousands, but at least hundred of thousands of caplin move inshore in large schools to spawn. For generations Newfoundlanders have taken advantage of the vast amount of these fish that “roll in” on our shores… because of how easy they are catch. How easy?
