Meanwhile, airliner Air Canada is inching towards its own strike this week. 3,800 of its service and sales staff are set to strike tomorrow, but the company says that it has a contingency plan in place – and that all existing bookings will be honoured, and future bookings will be available too. Though the airline is portraying the situation as “business as usual”, it is directing passengers to its website for detailed flight information.
