Air Canada strikes

About 25 Air Canada workers set up a picket line across St. John’s international airport Tuesday morning – 25 of 3,800 workers who took job action across the country as of early this morning. “We’re not stopping people and asking them not to cross the line. We’re just asking them to get some of the information that we’re trying to get out and get across to people” says Marina Dunne who is representing the workers. For its part, Air Canada is reporting that its flights in and out of Newfoundland and Labrador haven’t been affected by the strike – and maintains that it will operate a full flight schedule.
