Canada Post workers give notice to strike

After rejecting Canada Post’s final offer, its workers say they are making a last-ditch effort to avert a postal strike. Craig Dyer with the Canadian Union of Postal Workers says it has given the employer 72-hour notice that it is going to strike.
Canada Post and the union have not been able forge a new agreement after seven months. The provincial government says it has contingency plans in place in the case of a strike, but has yet to release full details on that plan.
