In response to an accident this week in Seal Cove that saw a 14-year old driving a dirt bike and a 13-year old driving an ATV, Conception Bay South Mayor Woody French says his town is going to do its best to address the issue – though he is restricted in what he can do. As the Trans-Canada Railway, where much of the dangerous driving takes place, lies in provincial jurisdiction there is not much the town can do. Instead CBS is going to crack down on those using recreational vehicles on town roads: drivers will be ticketed and have his or her vehicle confiscated.
