Contracts awarded for Labrador ferry

The Labrador Ferry Service will be operated by two mainland firms, Great Lakes Feeder Lines of Ontario and C.A.I. Marine Service of New Brunswick. Five year contracts were awarded to the two companies after after tenders went out in January.

Great Lakes will operate a freight vessel to serve the north coast of Labrador, from Lewisporte to Happy Valley-Goose Bay, while C.A.I. Marine will operate the MV Northern Ranger and the Sir Robert Bond.
