RCMP in Gander-Lewisporte had an easy arrest on Sunday night. Soon after a tip came in that there may be a drunk driver on the road, officers were needlessly dispatched as the impaired driver came to them instead – the driver was apprehended in the detachment parking lot and blew three times the legal limit during a breathalyser test. The man had driven to the detachment to drop off a package to his friend in the lockup.
