Dunderdale’s west coast team undergoing a retrofit

Linda Roche, who had served as Premier Williams’ executive assistant on the west coast of this province since his byelection victory in 2001, has been sent packing by new Premier Kathy Dunderdale. Roche confirmed yesterday that she, and Bev Dolter, administrative assistant in the office, finished work on Wednesday. When Williams announced his resignation back in December, Roche said she could have gone then but was asked to stay on through the interim. She said her loyalty to Williams may have played a role in her being let go; Roche and Dolter were the last two of “his” staff, she said. “We’re talking about the same government here. It’s not like the opposition is coming in to wipe out.”
