… and speaking of politics, the deadline for candidates in the past provincial election to submit a request for a recount is on Monday. There are three ridings where the vote was close enough to justify a recount: Liberal Jim Bennett’s win in St. Barbe was by just about 40 votes; PC Clyde Jackman’s win in Burin-Placentia West as also by just about 40 votes; while Liberal Dwight Ball won in Humber West by just under 70 votes. Thus far no recount requests have been made.
