Grimes back at it

Always lurking in the background with his two cents, former premier Roger Grimes went into detail about a plan in 2002 (nine years ago) that his own government had in place to develop the Lower Churchill hydroelectric project. Apparently the plan called for borrowing money from Hydro Quebec, in an agreement which would see Quebec buy 100% of the power from Gull Island. He believes his deal was better than the current plan to develop the Muskrat Falls portion of the resource. Grimes says he was ready to proceed with the plan, but it never came to pass primarily because of that pesky thing called public opinion.
