Hiker rescued on the west coast

A ground search time was called in to locate a hiker who had gotten lost near the Humber River in western Newfoundland yesterday. The hiker called police with his cell phone at 8:00 pm to notify them he was lost and ask for help. After a four hour search, it turns out he was in the Bear Head area overlooking the river gorge – where he stayed put until crews rescued him.
