Speaking of Jones and elections, Yvonne Jones is criticizing the moose pilot project announced yesterday by the provincial government as an election ploy. The Liberal leader says while she’s pleased to see the government do something to help protect driver’s in this province, more could be done, such as re-examining moose licensing and hunting zones. The pilot project announced Wednesday will involve two moose detection systems and sections of fencing along highways. Jones points out that the government had three and a half years to address the problem, but decided to wait until 90 days before the election to make an announcement.
