Gilles Duceppe, Stephen Harper, Michael Ignatieff and Jack Layton face off tonight at 8:30 Newfoundland time and 8:00 in Labrador on the major television networks. The affair promises to have more punch than usual, as yesterday a leaked report on the G8/G20 spending from last year alleges Harper’s government lavished millions on a prominent cabinet minister’s riding and “misled” Parliament. Having the leader of Bloc Quebecois included in the English language debate might not make a whole lot of sense, but Gilles Duceppe often ups the entertainment value of the night. Check out this classic line from the 2008 debate.
