During a campaign stop in the capital city of the weekend, NDP leader Jack Layton announced that the NDP supported the Lower Churchill project, saying that it was a green initiative that benefited the entire Atlantic region. After both Stephen Harper and Michael Ignatieff made similar announcements earlier this month, Layton had little choice in the matter. Can you imagine if he had said he DIDN’T support the project?
