Old Harry meeting opposition

The St. Lawrence coalition is calling for a sober second thought on the development of the Old Harry oil patch in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Last month Quebec struck a deal with Ottawa to develop the resource, which borders Newfoundland & Labrador. The group of about 100 concerned citizens met last weekend on the Magdalen islands off of our province’s south-western coast to voice their concerns over the potential impact such a development would have on fishery and tourism industries.
