Newfoundland and Labrador premier Kathy Dunderdale won’t be able to make the MAYDAY-NL rally this weekend organized to save the search and rescue sub-centre, but she is in full support of its goal. Premier Dunderdale says she has family commitments this weekend, but Fisheries Minister Clyde Jackman will be at the event to represent the provincial government. She says her government has been talking to officials of the Prime Minister’s Office, working to find solutions and alternatives.
