As the New Brunswick publication The Daily Gleaner puts it, it was a tough day on the pitch for the New Brunswick Black Spruce men’s rugby team on Sunday – as they fell to the Newfoundland Rock 84-10 at Loyalist Field. Geoff Warden led the Rock with four tries while Justin Myers and Rob Wilson added two apiece. Man of the match Dean Blanks chipped in with a try and seven conversions for 19 points. Next up for The Rock is the Quebec Caribou, a game to be played in Montreal this weekend coming.
