Have you bumped into a group of large men in big white winter jackets at the Avalon Mall lately? Or have you driven through a pack of Argentineans traversing downtown St. John’s? If so, you’ve caught a glimpse of The Rock’s competition this Thursday. Our rugby team *cough* national champions *cough* will face Salta Province from Argentina in what The Rock coach Pat Parfrey says is the biggest game the team will play this year. The game takes place at the Swilers complex at 6pm Thursday, where The Rock are regarded as heavy underdogs “based on Argentina’s (eighth-ranked) status in the world” says Parfrey. “We have no chance of competing unless we’re strong in the scrummage and stop their maul.”
