Tighter reporting measure for oil regulators

Following an incident last week where oil sludge was leaked into the ocean off of the Henry Goodrich drilling platform, the minister responsible for the offshore oil industry has demanded to be notified immediately of all leakages in a more timely manner. It was days before Shawn Skinner and the government were notified of last week’s incident, and although Skinner realizes a reasonable amount of time is needed to file a proper report, it should take a matter of hours and not days.
