Reports of stolen and torched vehicles on the Avalon have been frequent in recent months, and last night two separate incidents can be added to the list. In one incident a 15-year-old male was arrested for allegedly setting fire to a car on Newfoundland Drive. In the second incident a 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old female were arrested after they reportedly stole a minivan, sped from police and subsequently lost control and crashed it; the trio of suspects fled but only two were apprehended. In addition, yesterday morning there was another car fire on LeMarchant Road early Wednesday morning. RNC Const. Jennifer Clarke told The Telegram that there were five reports of stolen or attempted stolen vehicles in the east end Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning. What’s going on?
