Stormy and cold weather created unbearable and unsafe conditions for the public at the Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival over the weekend, forcing the show indoors on Saturday. Organizers were able to move the show to Mile One Stadium for the remainder of the weekend, but not without having to cancel the morning and afternoon shows. Gord Delaney, one of the festival’s organizers this year, says that the inclement weather had a large negative impact on this year’s ticket sales.
