Bonavista native Michael Ryder became the second man from Newfoundland and Labrador to win the Stanley Cup, and probably the first man in history to yell “Yes Sir!” once handed the trophy. Ryder’s Boston Bruins continued their dominance over the Vancouver Canucks last night, winning the game 4-0, and outscoring their opponents 23-8 over the course of the series. Ryder had an impressive playoff campaign, scoring 8 goals and registering 17 points in 25 games.
