Ralph Klein being moved into care facility

Former Alberta Premier Ralph Klein, who has been battling issues associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder and aphasia since September, will be released from hospital shortly and moved into a continuing care facility. Klein, the extraordinarily popular Premier of Alberta from 1992-2006 and Calgary’s mayor from 1980-1989, has seen his health decline since leaving politics. He is also suffering from frontotemporal dementia, a progressive disease that limits his ability to talk, run and drive. “King Ralph” is 68 years old. Source: The Ottawa Citizen
