In travel news, anyone living close to the Gander or Deer Lake airports might be happy to know what’s happening this week: Sunwing Airlines are starting up their flights down south. Destinations will include sunny spots Veradero and Punta Cana. Gander International Airport CEO Gary Vey says the service has been well-received in the past and has been expanded as a result. He says according to Sunwing, flight sales have increased 35 per cent over the past year.
