Looking to learn how to create prints but don’t know where to start? Take this workshop — it’s perfect for beginners!
In this workshop, each of the five sessions will be dedicated to a form of printmaking: Relief, Drypoint Etching, Monoprinting, and Screenprinting. The fifth session will be dedicated to delving further into the processes and exploring future possibilities. Participants will also have time to complete any outstanding printing.
Printshop technician Emily C. Pittman will walk participants through the steps of each process, how to use relevant materials, and safety practices that apply. Participants will walk away with the basic skills to create prints using a variety of techniques.
The dates for this workshop are: Jan. 31, Feb. 7, Feb. 14, Feb. 21, and Feb. 28. Each session will take place from 12-4 p.m.
Printmaking is built on collaboration and knowledge sharing. The instructor, Emily, looks forward to sharing her knowledge with participants!
