VIDEO: The most interesting people in Newfoundland | Gerald Squires

Gerald Squires is best known as a landscape painter, though he’s also worked as a sculptor, a print maker, and a newspaper artist. Born in Change Islands, Squires moved to Toronto in 1949, where he lived (mostly) until he returned to Newfoundland. He was made a member of the Order of Canada in 1999.

The Most Interesting People In Newfoundland is a series of video profiles — one that asks fascinating people to define themselves as individuals and as Newfoundlanders. Some will be familiar, others less so, but each has a story to tell.
