The Telegram reports that the Muskrat Falls project, the Atlantic Energy Gateway Initiative, and onshore natural gas and oil exploration issues were the key issues addressed at meetings today between energy ministers from all four of the Atlantic provinces. The meetings also gave Newfoundland’s Natural Resources minister to promote the Lower Churchill development: “Muskrat Falls will provide significant employment, economic and environmental benefit, and will strengthen the energy market in Atlantic Canada by providing a renewable, sustainable energy resource which will be a benefit to Newfoundland and Labrador and to all in the region,” he told The Telegram.
