For a province once fully dependent on its fishery, strange news comes from boat-makers in the province. Newfoundland and Labrador wooden boat builders say provincial regulations are making it difficult for them to harvest the wood they need to build boats. He says provincial permits limit where people can cut trees and boat builders can’t cut wood wherever they like anymore.
