EI rate in Newfoundland goes up

Stats Canada is reporting that EI claims across the country have decreased by 4.4% in July, which is now the largest of 10 straight months of declines. But the news isn’t good for Newfoundland and Labrador which – despite leading the country in several growth indicators – was the only province in Canada to see its EI rate increase.
