Kelvin Parsons will not run again

Provincial Liberal Kelvin Parsons has announced he will not be running in the Fall election. This is tough news for his party, as Parsons is not only one of just four elected Liberals, but he has also been a strong voice of leadership for the party – particularly last year when he served as interim leader for an extended period of time during Yvonne Jones’ absence. “I just felt it was the appropriate time for me personally to move on,” he said. “It’s been in the works for some time. I got into politics back in 1999 with the goal of hopefully being there for 10 years, and it has lasted 13.”
