Newfoundland’s export growth expected to slow

Export Development Canada’s chief economist, Peter Hall, says world oil prices and falling production will deal the province’s energy sector a ‘one-two punch’ next year. Hall says aggressive growth in mining exports will help offset this, however the agency still pegs the province’s export growth at just two per cent next year following a 21 per cent gain in 2011.
