Central Newfoundland residents saw their first snow yesterday, and now it seems that Winter is going to rear its head on the eastern portion of the island – in a big way: VOCM is reporting that a winter storm watch has been issued for the Avalon Peninsula for tomorrow. Meteorologists are calling for significant snowfall accumulations tomorrow afternoon with amounts possibly exceeding 10 centimetres.
