‘Gus the Barber’ passes away at 62

Gus Galgay, well known for his barbershop in the west end which he operated for nearly 40 years, has passed away at the age of 62 after a battle with brain cancer. Galgay was diagnosed last December after he noticed his memory slipping. Galgay mentioned at the time that he was saddened by the dwindling number of barbershops in the capital city, and remarked on his devoted clientele who he said, were like family.
