A man who was stabbed yesterday at Memorial University is in hospital and another man is in custody facing charges. It all happened in the common area of Spencer Hall near the middle of the day. The victim was stabbed in the chest, and his injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening. Police say both men are in their 20s and are studying English as a second language at MUN. Officers called in Mandarin translators from the Association for New Canadians and Memorial University to help them interview the victim and the suspect. The RNC say they will release more information today about the incident. The accused is expected to appear in court this morning.
