Operation Nanook is about to take place in Canada’s arctic. Three navy vessels are leaving St. John’s today to take part in a month-long joint operation between Canada’s navy, army, air, and special forces units which are going to focus on sovereignty patrols as well as search and rescue. The operation will also include a simulated maritime emergency which is going to involve the American and Danish militaries as well.
