A by-election is happening in Corner Brook today to fill a vacancy after the death of Councillor Charlie Renouf in January. There are five names to choose from on the municipal ballot: June Alteen, Gary Kelly, Trent Quinton, Tarragh Shanaham, and Alton Whelan. Voting stations are set up at the Pepsi Studio Annex, All Saint’s Church Hall on Clarence Street and St. Mary’s Church Hall on Curling Street. Polls have been open since 8 a.m. and will close tonight at 8 p.m.
