Gas prices take a hike

If you filled up at the pumps this morning, you’d notice that gas prices have hiked more than five cents a litre. Everywhere in the province it will be a little more expensive for gas, diesel, furnace oil and stove oil. They are all up by between five and six cents a litre today. The increases made by the Newfoundland and Labrador Public Utilities Board are being connected to the events unfolding in the middle east and northern Africa.
