Impala plucked from St. John’s harbour following bizarre accident

A 22-year-old man has been arrested after the Impala he was driving ended up in St. John’s harbour Monday afternoon. He told police he was attempting to make a U-turn on the harbourfront apron when he hit the barrier and went in.

After his release from hospital, it was discovered he had been driving with a suspended license and owed more than $10,000 in outstanding fines. He is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow morning.
