Local cabbie accused of punching teen who threw snowball

A taxi driver in our capital city has been charged with assault after an incident with a teenager which occurred yesterday. Police are accusing the 31-year-old driver of punching a 15-year-old boy who struck the local cabbie’s vehicle with a snowball. Police say the teenager was punched in the face several times during the incident. The driver was charged and taken to provincial court in St. John’s. He was then released to appear in court again at a later date.
