Two hikers on a trail on the north of the Avalon made a phone call yesterday at 5:30 p.m. saying they would be home two hours later. When they didn’t arrive home and couldn’t be reached, the duo were reported missing; ground search crews had scoured the area around Cape St. Francis, north of Pouch Cove, on Wednesday night and early this morning. The duo walked out of the woods this morning.
