The Rock, losing 16-13 in last night’s Canada/Argentina Rugby Challenge to Salta Province, passed on the opportunity for a kick and a sure-fire tie, and opted to go for glory and the win instead. The big decision didn’t pay off for the team, but was appreciated by the crowd and not regretted by the team. Salta Province took home the Amerigo Vespucci Trophy with the win, having to fend off the late Rock surge. Unfortunately the game was marred by an incident in which several Rock fans engaged physically with Argentinean team members after the Salta Province staff member took exception to excessive ridicule of his team and home country.
