Van slams into home in Corner Brook

A postal delivery van slammed into a house on MacPheron Avenue in Corner Brook yesterday, uprooting a fire hydrant and crashing through a second vehicle on the way. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said the cause of the accident was medical. A defibrillator was used on the man at the scene and CPR continued as he was taken to the ambulance. The driver remains in hospital, but luckily there were no other injuries.
